It is Wedding Tip Tuesday... but I can't start this post without saying, Happy Valentines Day! I admit......... I HATED Valentines day when I was single. I still have a soft spot for single people on this day. Thankfully I'm at a different place in life now. I am grateful for my Valentine, Toby. I was so surprised when I received a vase of beautiful tulips today from him. Thanks Tob. You're the best. We're having a meal at home tonight with the kiddos... candles, dinner the whole works. I hope they think it's special. :)
So now.... onto Wedding Tip Tuesday.
Today's wedding tip has to do with the wedding cake. I often suggest today's tip during my bridal consultations.
Here is the tip.
Tip: Cut the cake 1st at the reception.
Reason: When guests eat their wedding meal they are often ready for dessert when they are finished. Having the bride and groom cut the cake right away allows more time for the servers to finish their job of cutting the cake, placing it on plates and having it ready for the guests. This will allow the servers to cut it without the pressure of the line of people waiting on them to finish. AND it will also allow the guests to get their dessert at their leisure when they are finished eating.
I see this done in Ohio weddings all of the time. It makes great sense and helps with the flow of the night. I love it that my IN couples are catching on.

Have a blessed day.
I've got to start cooking.
Love to ALL!

I soooo agree! We even had our guest eat before us as they arrived to the reception....lived it! Helped the whole night flow with no waiting and rushing! Great tip!
