Drum-roll please........... it's a post that has been 6 days in the making! Dancing with the Arc Stars is now in the history books. But I do hope that the memories will be kept alive by the photos of the evening.
Two years ago I sat in the audience of this event and couldn't stand the fact that there wasn't a photographer there to capture the night. So.......... I hunted down the coordinator Valerie Magana to see if I could get involved. Thank you Valerie for saying yes and for allowing Amy's Photography to capture the night for you. I am honored to do what I can to help such a meaningful organization and am looking forward to the 2013 event.
I am surprised when I hear that people aren't familiar with Easter Seals. It is one of those organziations that I used to assume people know about...kind of like March of Dimes... you just 'know' what it is. But as I've talked about this event over the last few weeks I realized that people aren't as familiar as I thought. So what is Easter Seals? Simply put it is an organization that provides services to adults and children (and their families) who have disabilties and special needs.
Dancing with the Arc Stars is an event to raise funds for these services. Dancers from the Arc are paired with local celebrity's and they dance in a competition similar to that on Dancing with the Stars. American Style Ballroom in Fort Wayne donates their time and to train each dancer so that they are primed and ready for the event each year. The meet and greet for the event happens months before the event. A LOT of time goes into making this night happen.

It was extremely hard to narrow down the photos for this post.
