Almost a Rose Garden Rainout

Hi Friends!  As you know I had a few photo sessions at The Rose Garden in Fort Wayne Friday. On the way there I was talking with my friend Mandy (it was on my headset, I'm not one to hold the phone while driving). I told her that the sky was grey but no rain.  HA! I spoke too soon.  In my never ending quest to be organized I made a pitstop at Office Depot to get some office supplies. When I walked out my exact words were, "You have got to be KIDDING me." It was raining hard!  I prayed all the way to lakeside park. When I got there it was down to sprinkles...thank-you God! =) 

My first couple, Lindsey and Matt had their photo session without the threat of rain. However there was a wedding rehearsal going on so we didn't get to utilize the main part of the park for their photos. But I did get some beautiful shots of the two of them.  They are such a sweet, young couple.  I am so happy to have met them and am looking forward to their wedding on August 16th. 

My second couple, Dan and Amanda, met me at 6:00. I took one photo of them before making a mad-dash for the car.  It was raining AGAIN! Poor Amanda, wasn't exactly wearing running shoes! Neither was I, but then I never do.  We waited for about 10 minutes and then were able to get some really beautiful shots of them.  They are really photogenic and I really enjoyed them.  They are getting married August 2nd.  This photo of them really sums up the evening.

Couple number three, Jeff and Janna, met me at 7:00. This was my first time meeting them. We have talked on the phone but hadn't met in person.  I loved visiting with them in my car while we waited about 30 minutes for the rain to quit.   They are truly soul-mates and have a wonderful story which I will share with you in their Meet The Newlyweds section after their wedding on July 19th.  It was nice to have that chat time with them. One thing that I love about my job is that I meet the most wonderful people and truly get to know their special stories.  There are some AMAZING people in this world and I am so blessed to be able to work with many of them and share in the most special time of their life together.  Photography is something that started as a childhood hobby for me and has been such a rewarding career for me. I am grateful.
